And when I was a member of the work-outside-the-home world,
that meant something to me.
Now that I'm a SAHM it could be that "EVERYDAY is Friday!"
but in reality it's more like "NO day is Friday."
So, in the spirit of TGIF and everybody's-workin-for-the-weekend, etc...
I am trying to recapture that Friday Feeling.
I'm talkin' doughnuts, people.
And this has nothing to do with anything, except that it's Evie Being Evie...
And this has nothing to do with anything either...
Last night, I was on Facebook (I know, surprising, huh.) while BKG was unwinding by watching two back to back episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. When he was ready for bed, he called me to come to bed too, because we're trying this new thing where we go to bed at the same time, instead of me staying up til all hours. (And in theory, we are supposed to get out of bed at the same time in the morning. Sort of a "solidarity" thing. It was my idea -- but I'm not in the habit of it quite yet.)
Anyway, is there anyone else who lays in bed with their spouse after the lights go out and discuss Who Wrote What On Facebook? Well, we do. This all started out as a competition to see who could "friend" more people. (If you know us at all, you know who won. BKG's motto is "The more the merrier!" while mine is:"I don't like people." But this was the last bit of our Facebook Conversation last night:
Me: Susan wrote on my wall that she sent me a gift -- a real one -- not a facebook one.
BKG: Oh yeah. I forgot. She sent it home with me.
Me: What is it?
BKG: It's in the console of your car.
Me: What is it?
BKG: Go get it. It's in your console.
Me: I'm not getting out of bed to go get it. Just TELL me what it IS. (geez.)
BKG: She burned you a CD. She wrote on it:"SYTYCD Season 4... 4 Jill...4 Real"
Me: Awesome. I hope she put "Party People" on there.
Happy Friday, Invisible Audience!
s.g

ok, making myself visible here...
You mean there are real gifts still out there in the world, not just the gifts I get on Facebook??? Woah! Interesting concept, I'll have to try to get one of those someday. hehe
Btw, you rock with the donuts and do you think Evie would let me borrow her outfit?

Mrs. Bubba - Welcome. If you "friend" me on fb, I'll be sure and "throw a sheep at you". Whatever the heck that means! :o)

NO day is Friday . . . or Saturday . . . or whatever. I can see how donuts might help soothe that sadness.
Thanks for adding me on Flickr. You are really SO talented. I love this shot of Evie - ya'll must have the best lighting in your house. Gorgeous!

Megan - Thanks! Truth be told, our house is cave-like as far as lighting. Some days I just want to knock holes in the outside walls and let the sun shine in.
