Day 2 of the 25 Days of Christmas
I gave Evie her own little nativity scene to play with. I was hoping it would be a little less breakable than it turned out to be. Immediately, the sheep was the first casualty. It hit the floor and lost an ear.
Later, my sweet babygirl took the manger and ran down the hall to her bedroom saying "bay-beeee, bay-beeee". She dropped the Baby Jesus safely into her crib. Since that is where babies belong.

I just love Evie - she has such a sense of order in the world for a not-even-two year old.

Hi! I'm glad I finally found your blog again!
I love the "bay-beee" part! Ella did something similar - at mom's we set up the nativity set which has an unswaddled baby which sets into the manger. Touching it she said, "baby tummy so cold!" I asked, should we give the baby a blanket? Maybe you would want to get a tissue? She went to the restroom and got one square of toilet tissue which was just the right side for a blanket. Quite a sight, I'm sure, for someone to see a nativity seen with toilet paper on baby Jesus!
