An unexpected ornament

There's a snail stuck to our Christmas tree. I found it on Sunday while we were decorating. (And you know BKG and I had to reenact the squirrel scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, substituting "snail" for "squirrel".) Anyway, I left it there intending to take a picture of it -- but then I forgot all about it until this evening when I was looking for a subject for Day Three of The 25 D of C. I'm assuming that the actual snail is no longer with us -- just its shell and sticky carcass -- since it hasn't moved in the past few days. How Christmas-y, huh.

In other news, we official began our Christmas "film festival". Tonight's featured presentation was Elf.
